This internship will give you a valuable opportunity to work with experienced professionals in project management, estimating, accounting, construction management, and facilities management. You will gain an understanding of the management side of the commercial construction industry and the workflow requirements to achieve project success.
During the first six weeks of this internship you will assist the preconstruction team with estimating, quantity takeoff, design coordination, and permitting. You will also gain field experience while working on-site with Superintendents on various projects.
In the last six weeks of the internship, you will transition to working with a Project Manager where you will assist with buyouts, coordinate and review submittals, monitor schedules, and participate in architectural contract meetings.
Throughout this internship you will be exposed to various software including Procore, ProContractor, Sage, and Microsoft Project. Be ready to ask questions, tackle challenges, share, and learn from our talented team. A syllabus will be provided at the start of the internship.
Education and Experience:
A project management intern candidate with South-Tree Enterprises is enrolled in a Building Science or Construction Management degree program with a projected graduation date of December 2019, May 2020, or December 2020. Having completed the following courses will be helpful as well as any previous exposure to commercial construction, project management, and facilities management.

Time Commitment Required for Internship:
This intern opportunity is full-time, approximately 40 hours per week for a period of about 12 weeks. Estimated start and end dates, May 13, 2019 to August 12, 2019. This internship will be at our headquarters in Peachtree City, GA.
